Clinical Research Pharmacist - A Clinical Research Pharmacist plays a critical role in supporting clinical trials and research projects by managing investigational drugs, ensuring medication safety, and overseeing the pharmaceutical aspects of research protocols. Some key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate records of drug inventory, including receipt, storage, dispensing, and return of investigational medicines.
  • Collaborate with investigators and researchers in the design and development of clinical trial protocols, ensuring that all pharmaceutical components (e.g., drug dosing, administration, stability) are clearly defined.
  • Review study protocols to identify and address potential issues related to drug interactions, dosing, and administration.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including principal investigators, clinical research coordinators, physicians, nurses, and data managers, to support the execution of clinical trials.
  • Ensure that the accurate labeling, packaging, and distribution of investigational drugs, adhering to all relevant protocols and standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all investigational drug activities, including dosing, administration, and monitoring of clinical trial participants.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and ensure proper documentation for audits

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, with licensure to practice as a pharmacist in the U.S.

Extensive knowledge of clinical trial design, drug development, and regulatory requirements for investigational drugs (FDA, IND, GCP).

Experience in compounding, sterile preparation, and the handling of investigational medications.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Familiarity with pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, as well as the ability to interpret clinical data.
