Testing Engineer

Brillient Corporation Annapolis Junction, MD (Onsite) Full-Time

This is a hybrid schedule position, must be flexible to come into the office.

1. Job Responsibilities: Must have a minimum of 5 responsibilities

  • Determine requirements for airline and airport implementation testing for all onboarding or transitioning entities submitting to the DHS router or e-Secure Flight for vetting.
  • Schedule, test, review, and trouble shoot test scenarios with airlines and airports based on their specific operational requirements.
  • Update and provide progress reporting to track program and entity testing progress.
  • Assist the government with maintaining and updating business processes, SOPs, briefing packages and other related documentation (as required by DHS and TSA directives, regulations, etc.).
  • Assist the government with maintaining, updating, and preparation of reports, project plans and other analytical tools for management reporting and decision-making processes.

2. Day to day activities of the role

  • Correspond with multiple aircraft operators and airports requesting system to system testing with TSA Secure Flight.
  • Determine the best test scenarios to be run on a case-by-case basis.
  • Coordinate with Customs and Border Protection for International operations test case review.
  • Extract and review Secure Flight XML test submission data and provide feedback to industry.
  • Update progress trackers as necessary for internal TSA coordination.
  • Provide options and solution to solve issues.
  • Conducting or facilitating meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

3. Job Requirements: Must have a minimum of 5 requirements

  • Minimum public trust and or TSA Badge
  • Certification in Program/Project Management (e.g., Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FACP/PM) Level II and above).
  • Background in System Testing or Test Management
  • Understanding of or background in DHS or TSA vetting languages and messaging.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Innovative; thinks outside of box in delivering solutions to the customer.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

4. Must haves for the position

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • 5+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience in in general program/project management and\or Specialist contributor support.
  • At least 3+ years in consulting or government contracting environment.
  • Background in programming languages or Excel scripting/advanced formulas
  • Industry Experience (Nice to have)
    • Prior work experience within DHS and/or TSA

5. Education/Certification:

  • BS/BA

 

7. Job Location: Remote? Parking?

  • A minimum of one day a week at Annapolis Junction (AJOC) location, remaining days are remote.

 

Equipment Operated: Computer hardware and software as well as standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Work performed in an office or call center environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and customers.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, bending to handle equipment and supplies, mobility to complete site visits or deliveries. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Stress can be triggered by multiple demands and deadlines.
