General Summary: This role will Perform printing, shipping, delivery and receiving services for training courses on FDA regulated products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; pack items to ensure safe delivery.
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Sort, count, package label, insure, unpack and/or log inventory items shipped or received at the end of everyday.
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages or defects.
- Deliver and pick up items to and from staff requesting team and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items.
- Shall maintain departmental database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records every day.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety and environmental standards.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma
Experience Requirement: Minimum two (2) years of general experience, of which one (1) year is directly related.
Other Requirement(s): This position requires U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government public trust level security clearance. For a candidate that is a Green Card holder, they must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the past five years prior to your application date. You will also meet the residency qualifications if you lived abroad while on government or military duty or if you were a dependent of a federal employee of military member.
The applicant must have an active Driver’s License and be able to drive a government vehicle
Performance Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of, or ability to quickly acquire, clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all staff and visitors.
