Project Manager - A Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects related to scientific research, clinical studies, or public health initiatives. This role will ensure that the projects align with the strategic objectives of NIH and are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Some key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Define and develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure that the project milestones are met on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, clinicians, data analysts, and external partners
  • Act as a liaison between research teams and external partners
  • Maintain compliance and ensure that all aspects of the project comply with NIH guidelines
  • Lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure successful project execution
  • Identify potential risks or challenges that may affect project delivery and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, final reports and any other documentation required on time ensuring that it meets the client’s needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, public health, project management, or business administration (Master’s degree preferred).

4+ years of experience managing projects, ideally in a research, scientific, or public health environment.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), with PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of federal and NIH-specific regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools).
